RE/MAX ORIGINS

Dave Liniger, Chairman and founder of RE/MAX had a vision which he turned into reality in 1973. His vision was to create a professional real estate organization formed by and for the industry’s top producers. RE/MAX is Canada's leading residential real estate organization.

RE/MAX Twin City Realty Inc.was launched by Ben Skovsgaard in 1981 with four associates. Today under the ownership of Peter DeGroot, RE/MAX Twin City Realty has grown to 5 offices with 167 associates and represents the largest brokerage firm in the Region of Waterloo. In 1993 the second RE/MAX Twin City office was opened in the former historic Seagram head office on Erb Street West in Waterloo. Sales volume for 1999 exceeded 267 MILLION which has never been accomplished by any other company in this region.

RE/MAX Twin City Realty represents “ the sign of the times”. For the past 19 years this sign has come to stand for excellence of service.
